Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School, Sector 26, Chandigarh successfully organised a three-day Model United Nations (MUN) Conference 2026 with great enthusiasm and grandeur.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Vishal Garg, who lit the ceremonial lamp and addressed the young delegates. In his inspiring speech, Dr. Garg emphasized the importance of diplomacy, leadership and youth participation in solving global issues.
More than 350 students from various reputed schools of the Tricity participated as delegates, representing different countries and debating on pressing world issues.
The opening ceremony was followed by a vibrant Cultural Programme presented by the students of the host school, showcasing the rich heritage of India. The second day concluded with a lively Social Night filled with music and dance, which added fun and bonding among delegates.
On the second day, intense and thought-provoking committee sessions were held where students displayed their excellent debating, research and public speaking skills.
The conference concluded on the third day with a grand Closing Ceremony and Prize Distribution where Best Delegate, High Commendation and Special Mention awards were given to outstanding performers.
Principal Ms. Amanpreet Kaur appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and teachers. The campus was full of excitement and energy, and students left with enriched knowledge and beautiful memories.
