A Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on the topic Happy Classroom

A Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on the topic Happy Classroom was organized at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School, Chandigarh under the aegis of CBSE, Centre of Excellence.

The resource persons for the day were Mrs. Poonam Sharma and Mrs. Vega Sharma, who are renowned CBSE empanelled resource persons. The workshop was attended by around 55 teachers.

The session commenced with the welcome of the guests.

Mrs. Poonam Sharma and Mrs. Vega Sharma highlighted that a happy classroom is the foundation of effective learning. They emphasized that a classroom should be a safe, inclusive, and joyful space where every child feels valued, respected and motivated.

They discussed various strategies to create a positive learning environment, such as building a strong teacher-student rapport, incorporating fun and activity-based learning, managing stress, and fostering emotional well-being.

The workshop was highly interactive, with various activities, group discussions, role plays and case studies. Teachers actively participated and shared their experiences on how to make the teaching-learning process more joyful and stress-free.

The Principal of the host school, Mrs. Amanpreet Kaur, thanked the resource persons for their insightful and enriching session and appreciated the participation of all the teachers. She said that such workshops are instrumental in updating teachers with new pedagogical skills.
