The kindergarten wing of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate
Public School celebrated Janmashtami with great zeal and
enthusiasm on 3rd September 2026.
The premises was beautifully decorated with flowers,
peacock feathers and matkis, depicting the birthplace of
Lord Krishna. The main aim of the celebration was to
inculcate the values of love, truth and righteousness
among the little ones.
The celebration began with a soulful bhajan and a short
story about the life and teachings of Lord Krishna
narrated by the teacher. The little ones came dressed
as cute Radhas and Krishnas. Their innocent smiles and
colourful attire added charm to the celebration.
The little Krishnas enjoyed the symbolic Dahi Handi
activity. The children also danced to the tunes of famous
Krishna bhajans like "Go Go Govinda" and "Woh Kisna Hai".
The Principal blessed the children on this auspicious
occasion and appreciated the efforts of the teachers
and students. Sweets were distributed among all.
The celebration filled the air with joy, devotion
and festivity.
