Capacity Building Programme
An in-house Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on "AI in Real World Context" was organized on 27 June 2026 at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School, Sector-26, Chandigarh. The programme aimed to familiarize teachers with the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education and its practical applications across various sectors. The session was graced by Sh. Satish Kumar, Scientist, CSIO, who attended as the Chief Guest and expert speaker.
During his address, Sh. Satish Kumar explained how Artificial Intelligence is transforming real-world domains such as healthcare, agriculture, education, manufacturing, and smart technologies. He emphasized that AI should be viewed as a powerful tool to assist teachers rather than replace them. He encouraged educators to use AI responsibly to enhance creativity, personalize learning experiences, improve classroom engagement, and make teaching more effective.
The session was further enriched by the valuable contributions of research scholars Ujjwal, Manjeet, Arti, and Abhishek, who actively interacted with the participants and shared innovative ideas for integrating AI into lesson planning, classroom activities, assessments, and content creation. Various AI-powered educational tools were demonstrated, showcasing how technology can simplify routine tasks, support differentiated learning, and encourage critical thinking among students.
Teachers participated enthusiastically throughout the programme, engaging in discussions and exploring the practical uses of AI tools in day-to-day teaching. The workshop provided meaningful insights into the ethical and effective use of Artificial Intelligence in schools and inspired teachers to adopt modern teaching practices aligned with the evolving educational landscape.
At the conclusion of the programme, the Principal, Mrs. Amanpreet Kaur Bedi, expressed her sincere appreciation to the distinguished speakers for their informative and inspiring presentations. She felicitated Sh. Satish Kumar and the research scholars for sharing their expertise and motivating teachers to embrace Artificial Intelligence as an innovative educational resource. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving the participants motivated to integrate AI effectively into classroom teaching and learning.
