A Career Counseling Session on Liberal Arts and Sciences Education for the Careers of Tomorrow was conducted at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School for students of Classes XI and XII.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Arun Bhatia, Assistant Vice President, SIEC Education, who introduced students to emerging career opportunities beyond traditional academic streams.
Mr. Bhatia explained how Liberal Arts and Sciences education equips students with critical thinking, creativity, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills that are highly valued in today's rapidly changing world. He discussed exciting interdisciplinary career opportunities in Psychology, Economics, Data Science, Design, Media, Public Policy, Environmental Sciences, International Relations, and several other emerging fields.
Students were also guided about entrance examinations, scholarships, and admission procedures for reputed universities offering Liberal Arts programmes in India and abroad. An interactive question-and-answer session enabled students to clarify their doubts regarding subject selection, higher education, and career planning.
