SGGS COLLEGIATE PUBLIC SCHOOL
Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School, Sector 26, Chandigarh. The event was marked by flag hoisting, cultural performances and inspiring addresses.
The programme began with the flag hoisting by the Chief Guest, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by students and staff. The atmosphere resonated with national pride.
Students presented a vibrant patriotic song and an energetic dance performance that showcased India's rich cultural heritage. A thought-provoking skit on unity and freedom was also staged, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Bhavneet Bharti, Head of Paediatrics, PGIMER, Chandigarh, addressed the gathering. She urged students to imbibe the values of discipline, service and patriotism, and to contribute towards nation building.
The Principal thanked the Chief Guest and congratulated students and teachers for making the celebration a grand success. The event concluded with the distribution of sweets.
