Investiture Ceremony Marks Beginning of Student Leadership at SGGS

SGGS Collegiate Public School held its solemn Investiture Ceremony on Wednesday, 7 May 2026, in the school auditorium to induct the newly elected Student Council for the academic session 2026-27. The event aimed to instil a sense of duty, responsibility, and leadership among students.

The most awaited moment was the Investiture. The newly elected council members marched smartly to the stage. Badges and sashes were conferred by the Principal. Manraj Singh of Class XII was invested as Head Boy and Barleen Kaur of Class XII as Head Girl. They took the oath to uphold the honour of the school, discharge duties with honesty, and lead by example. The oath was administered by the Principal. The House Captains, Sports Captain, and Prefects also took their pledges.

The Head Boy, in his acceptance speech, promised to work for student welfare, maintain discipline, and promote the dignity of labour among students. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.

The Investiture Ceremony was not just an event, but a promise – a promise by young leaders to serve their school and nation with integrity.
