A two-day Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on the topic "School Health and Wellness" was successfully conducted at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School, Sector 26, Chandigarh, under the aegis of CBSE on 24th and 25th October 2026.
The resource persons for the programme were Mr. Rajan Sharma and Mr. Navdeep Bhandari, who enlightened the participants through insightful sessions on the physical, mental, socio-emotional and psychological well-being of students and teachers.
The programme was attended by 60 teachers from various schools. The sessions were highly interactive and engaging, incorporating activities, group discussions, case studies and role-plays. These activities sensitised teachers to creating a healthy and happy school environment, identifying health issues at an early stage, imparting life skills education and promoting wellness among learners.
The Principal, Mrs. Amanpreet Kaur, felicitated the resource persons and appreciated their valuable contribution. She emphasised that teachers play a pivotal role in ensuring the holistic health and wellness of students and that such programmes equip them to become more effective mentors.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and was appreciated by all participants as an enriching and informative learning experience.
