Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School celebrated the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan with great zeal and enthusiasm on 26th August, 2026 in the school premises. The celebration aimed to inculcate the values of love, respect, and bonding among students and to make them aware of the rich cultural heritage of India. Highlights of the Activities: 1. Special Assembly: The day commenced with a special assembly. Students spoke about the significance and mythological importance of Raksha Bandhan. A soulful poem and a thought on brother-sister bond was shared. 2. Rakhi Making Activity: An inter-house Rakhi Making Competition was organized for Classes VI to VIII. Students showcased their creativity by using eco-friendly and traditional materials to make beautiful Rakhis. 3. Card Making : Students of Classes III to V participated in Greeting Card Making activities with great fervour. 4. Bulletin Board Decoration: All four houses decorated their bulletin boards on the theme of Raksha Bandhan, depicting the beautiful bond between a brother and a sister. The Principal, in her address, appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers and highlighted that Raksha Bandhan is not just about a brother and sister, but also about the promise to protect and respect everyone. The celebration concluded on a joyous note, leaving everyone with a message of love, unity and harmony.
